Independently owned and operated, Mark Twain Lodging offer travelers a comfortable, enjoyable, and restful stay.  Our new log cabins with spacious rooms and the wonderful country view make Mark Twain Lodging of Alton, M.O. one of Missouri's most desired travel destinations. Built in 2009, the log cabins are a cozy retreat for anyone.

Located in the Mark Twain Forest area, the cabins are just a short distance to hunting the mark twain forest or fishing the Eleven Point River.  If you want to stay in and relax, the cabins have everything you need for you're getaway.  The cabins have a fully furnished kitchen, breakfast nook, spacious family room with leather furniture,  flat screen tv and dvd player, 2 bedrooms (1 queen and 1 bunk full/twin),  bathroom with marble shower, and  spacious porches with a charcoal grill at each cabin.

Family Room
Log walls, vaulted ceilings, a deer horn chandelier and hardwood floors make the family room breathtaking!  It is furnished with leather couches and chairs and has a large flat screen tv with satelite and a dvd player. 

Kitchen
Open to the family room; the kitchen has cabinets full of cooking and eating utensils, a stainless steel double sink, a side by side refrigerator, full stove, microwave, and a coffee pot.  We have everything you need to cook a scrumptious meal.  There is a small table for dining in between the kitchen and family room.


Bedrooms
There are two bedrooms in each cabin.  They both have log walls and hardwood floors and each have a spacious closet with hanging bar.  The master bedroom has a queen bed and the second bedroom has bunk beds with a full on bottom and twin on top. Sheets and blankets are provided.


Bathroom
The bathroom has a marble and tile walk in shower, a vanity with sink and mirror, and a toilet.  Towels and washclothes are provided.



Directions to cabins from Alton, M.O.
Take highway 19N out of Alton approx. 1 mi.  Turn right on highway AA.  Go approx. 3.5 mi. on highway AA.  Turn right on County Road 113 (right past the blue water tower on the left)  Go approx .25 mi. on county road 113.  Mark Twain Lodging is on the right.
